The Unsheathed Sword Against The Worshippers Of The Prophet (ﷺ)

It is really disheartening to find most people in our communities engaging and paying much attention to Kannywood movies, which has evidently led to much evil, immorality, and corruption in our societies over a long period. These Kannywood movies as they claim from the brain medium, are broadcasted to educate the public on Islāmic values and morals, however, is this statement true, or is it merely a claim?

Ali Nuhu Mohammed, Kannywood Actor

I recently received a five-minute clip of one of the Kannywood actors, Ali Nuhu Mohammed, which brought tears to the eyes and sorrow to the heart. In the clip, all the attributes of Allāh were given to the Prophet, Muḥammad (ﷺ). From the first minute of the clip to its last all that was being spewed were statements of Kufr (disbelief). The clip clearly exposes that an individual who utters such does not have basic knowledge of Tawḥīd (Islāmic Monotheism), the reason why humans were created. Thus, is it not time for us to warn our families to leave off watching, promoting, and "learning" from such individuals who seek to destroy their ʿAqīdah (Creed)?

How can we claim to dearly love our families, yet we still hide behind the scenes and do not warn them against those who are exerting all efforts to fight and oppose the Dīn of Allāh and Islām as the Prophet (ﷺ) taught it?

From what he mentioned in this particular Qaṣīdah (poem) was that: "we should seek help, direct all worries to the Prophet and none encompasses him in power". Subḥān-Allāh! Is this not from the ʿAqīdah (Creed) of the Christians and the Jews?!

Allāh, the Most-High, mentioned regarding the Jews and Christians:

اتَّخَذُواْ أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ وَالْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا أُمِرُواْ إِلاَّ لِيَعْبُدُواْ إِلَهًا وَاحِدًا لاَّ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ سُبْحَانَهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

They (Jews and Christians) took their Rabbis and their Monks to be their lords besides Allāh (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allāh), and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded [in the Taurāt (Torah) and the Injīl (Gospel)] to worship none but One Ilāh (God - Allāh) Lā ilāha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). Praise and glory be to Him (far above is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)."

Sūrah At-Tawbah:31

He also said:

O people of the Scripture (Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allâh aught but the truth. The Messiah ‘Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of Allāh and His Word, ("Be!" - and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rūḥ) created by Him; so believe in Allāh and His Messengers. Say not: "Three (trinity)!" Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allāh is (the only) One Ilāh (God), glory be to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allāh is All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.

Sūrah An-Nisā’:171

Contemplate over the error of the Jews and Christians. Today we see many Muslims falling into the same error, just like these ignoramuses that claim to teach people the Dīn (religion) through the Kannywood movies. Has Ali Nuhu not gone transgressed the boundaries set by Allāh by ascribing affairs and attributes of Allāh to Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)? Referring to him as Al-Ḥayy-ul-Qayyūm (the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists)? Is a person who utters such an erroneous statement the one you expect to teach you the religion of Allāh?

In the Ṣaḥīḥ of Imām Muslim (2577), it is narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, narrating from his Lord, may He be blessed and exalted:

‘O My slaves, all of you are astray except those whom I guide, so ask Me for guidance, and I will guide you. O My slaves, all of you are hungry except those whom I feed, so ask me for food and I will feed you. O My slaves, all of you are naked except those whom I clothe, so ask Me for clothing and I will clothe you. O My slaves, you err night and day, but I forgive all sins, so ask Me for forgiveness and I will forgive you.’

Shaykh-ul-Islām Ibn Taymiyah (may Allāh have mercy on him) said:

With regard to that which no one but Allāh, may He be exalted, is able to do, it is not permissible to seek it from anyone except Allāh, may He be glorified; it should not be sought from the angels or from the Prophets or from anyone else. It is not permissible to say to anyone other than Allāh: ‘Forgive me’ or ‘Grant us rain or ‘Grant us victory over the disbelieving people’ or ‘Guide our hearts’ and so on. Hence (Imām) Aṭ-Ṭabarānī narrated in his Majmaʿ that at the time of the Prophet (Muḥammad ﷺ), there was a hypocrite who used to annoy the believers, so they said: 'Let us go and seek the help of the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) against this hypocrite'. So they came to him and he said: “Help should not be sought from me; rather it should be sought from Allāh (alone).”

So, 'glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him!'

By Allāh, only one who is ignorant regarding the religion would follow (or continue to follow) and applaud the evil works of theKannywood industry; who are exerting all efforts via mass media to corrupt the ʿAqā'id (Creeds) of our families and the Hausa speaking members of the Ummah (Islāmic Nation).

It is upon us all to strive, explain, and teach Tawḥīd (Islāmic Monotheism) and the Sunnah (the Prophetic Tradition) as understood by the Ṣaḥābah (Companions) to our families, friends, and others we meet to save them from the plots of this evil criminals, and return them, with Allāh's permission, to the sound creed which the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) taught and called to.
