Ask The People of Knowledge - Shaykh Ibn Bāz

Allāh (تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَىٰ) Said:

{فَاسْأَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ}

So ask (you, O pagans of Makkah) of those who know the Scripture [learned men of the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)], if you know not.

Sūrah An-Naḥl: 43

Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azīz bin ‘Abdillāh bin Bāz (رحمه الله) Said:

The people (who are) knowledgeable of the Book of Allāh (i.e. The Qurʾān) and Sunnah of the Messenger (ﷺ), they are the People of Remembrance (Ahl adh-Dhikr). As for the People of Innovation (Ahl al-Bidʾah), they are not from the people of remembrance, the callers to innovation are not from the people of remembrance.
