Shaykh Muḥammad Nāṣir ad-Dīn al-Albānī (رحمه الله) Mentioned:

Had it (The Mawlid) been good the Salaf as-Ṣāliḥ (Pious Predecessors) would have known about it, and they were more knowledgable than us, and more devoted to worship than us. Had it been good, they would have known and acted upon it, they wouldn’t have stayed away from it and left it off.
