Why Didn’t The Companions Celebrate The Mawlid?

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ bin Fawzān al-Fawzān (حفظه الله ورعاه) Mentioned:

They (i.e. The Companions) did not leave it off except due to it (the Mawlid) not being from the religion, and because it is in resemblance to the Naṣārá (Christians), and the Prophet (ﷺ) warned them against resembling the Naṣārá!
