Advice for Sunni Youth in Egypt - Also Applies To Those In Nigeria
﷽
All praises are due to Allãh, and may Allãh's prayers, peace and blessings be upon His servant and Messenger (Prophet Muhammad), as for what follows:
What is happening in Egypt of incitement to demonstrations is a painful thing, and indeed we belong to Allãh and to Him we shall return.
And the approach and methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamã'ah is that they enjoin patience upon the rulers. This is not for the benefit of the rulers, rather it is for the benefit of preserving the religion, and for the benefit of preventing bloodshed, protecting wealth, honour, and for the interest of the country itself. And the approach of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamã'ah entails considering the benefits and the evils (that come about from our actions).
Do people in Egypt think that if they revolt against the ruler and overthrow him, then things will get better? The answer is No.
This is because people need a long time to go out and gather in the squares and fields, and then it takes a long time to stay in the squares and wait in them, and in all this time they would have wasted their time, abandoned their work, abandon their jobs, abandoned a whole lot, and the country would stop working, and the country would lose huge budgets, the state will lose billions of money, just because of the business halt, as well as the country's entry into a state of emergency, and security forces entering into clashes with people.
After a while, the state may respond to the people's demands and a ruler will go, and then another will be appointed, and he may not respond (to the people's demands), and then again until another person is appointed. The state would need a long period of time for elections and other affairs, and at this stage, the country would enter a state of severe weakness both internally and externally.
Internally, the bandits will rule and there would be an increase in crimes (murders, robberies, etc.), the use and abuse of drugs will spread, terrorists will come out, prices will rise, the country will be prone to division, and parties running for power will multiply, and there will be very intense competition between them, and the country will be vulnerable to disunity and rupture, and some people may call for separation of one side of the country from another side of it.
Externally, the enemies may gather from abroad and enter the country, and they may interfere in the country's affairs politically. They may impose things on the citizens that they wouldn't want, by virtue of the fact that the country is in a state of tension and a state of emergency, thus they would be taking advantage of the weakness of the country.
The country may enter into new large debts, meanwhile, in its current situation, this wouldn't be good. If the country was very strong, and in a state of strength and re-growth, the imposition of these things would have still caused great harm to the country. So, how will it be, if the country was previously passing through a lot of problems?
These demonstrations will not bring about rectification, rather they will increase the corruption of the country and its sinking.
I ask Allãh, The Almighty, with His Names and Attributes, to preserve the country of Egypt, to preserve its people, and to protect all Muslim countries from temptation.
By Allãh, if people knew what great harm, evil, and temptation are in this situation, they would have avoided this and would have said we'll persevere. If the country were to move away from demonstrations and revolutions to a better situation, the people would not need two or three revolutions.
How long will the country remain like this in revolutions, revolution after revolution?
We ask Allãh, The Almighty, to safeguard this country from evils, temptations and calamities.
