Questioner:
The questioner says: “there are some people who specify the end of the year for advice, preaching or Duʾā is this action correct?”
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ b. Fawzān al-Fawzān:
No, this is an innovation, it is not permissible to specify the end of the Hijri year for greetings, congratulations, remembrances (certain Adhkār) or Duʾā, this is not permissible, the Salaf (Righteous Predecessors) did not used to do this.
