The Condition of The Salaf In Ramadan
﷽
Al-ʿAllāmah Shaykh Rabīʿ b. Hādī Al-Madkhalī (حفظه الله) Said:
Read about their (the Salaf's) striving, their patience, their devotion to Allāh, and their striving in this noble month (i.e. Ramaḍān) and others. I mean, we do not remember Allāh during the month of Ramaḍān, then we forget, and leave off the acts of worship in the rest of the months. We (should) continue to worship Allāh, perform the night prayers, turn to Allāh (in repentance), and all the acts of worship that we draw closer to Allāh by way of during Ramadan. We should not forget!
TN: The term 'Salaf' refers to the Salaf Aṣ-Ṣāliḥ (Pious Predecessors) who were the first three generations of righteous Muslims, and Allāh and His Messenger instructed us to follow and imitate them.
