The Angels Seek Forgiveness For The Fasting Person - Al-‘Allāmah Ibn ‘Uthaymī

Shaykh Muḥammad b. Ṣāliḥ Al-ʿUthaymīn - رحمه الله - Said:

From the characteristics of the month of Ramaḍān is that the angels seek forgiveness for the people who are fasting until they break their fast, and the angels are slaves that are noble in the sight of Allāh,

لَّا يَعۡصُونَ ٱللَّهَ مَآ أَمَرَهُمۡ وَيَفۡعَلُونَ مَا يُؤۡمَرُونَ

Who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allāh, but do that which they are commanded. [Sūrah At-Taḥrīm:6]

So they are more deserving that Allāh answers their supplication for the fasting people; as He has permitted for them to do it. And Istighfār is seeking forgiveness, which is the concealment of sins in this life and the next life and overlooking them, and it is from the loftiest of things sought, and the most superior of objectives.
